Once again, BC Hydro has honoured the Overwaitea Food Group (OFG) for its outstanding achievements in energy efficiency and innovation. At the 17th Annual Power Smart Excellence Awards on May 26, BC Hydro presented OFG with its most prestigious Power Smart Excellence Award in the category of Power Smart Leader. OFG joins an elite group of businesses recognized by BC Hydro for making energy management a top priority and consistently exceeding energy-savings targets.

This is the fourth time OFG has been recognized by BC Hydro for its comprehensive approach and commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability and energy management. The award is a milestone for OFG’s Green Team, a group of representatives from all across the company, which provides leadership and direction to help promote continuous improvement and raise the bar on OFG’s environmental sustainability efforts.

OFG strives for best practices in energy management in all aspects of the business, making it a company priority. All of these efforts have helped OFG become BC’s energy efficiency leader in the grocery industry.
