At Save-On-Foods, we take environmental concerns and recycling seriously by recycling up to 90% of the cardboard, plastics and organics that come into our stores, including our plastic shopping bags, which when returned to us, are all recycled into new plastic bags.

For many years, as we've remodelled stores and built new locations, we've incorporated energy-efficient equipment and processes. For each project, the annual energy saved by incorporating these Power Smart features is enough to power several dozen average family homes per year.

We also demonstrate our commitment through our pharmacy medication disposal service and make reusable shopping bags available for our customers to purchase. Our bulk foods sections can help you minimize product packaging and we are also proud to feature Changes® Recycling Centres in 13 of our stores.
