Citrus

  • Fresh citrus fruits are widely available at this time of year.
  • Aside from fresh eating, they’re a bright and delicious addition to meals like this Citrus Shrimp Salad made with dark greens, orange and grapefruit slices, red onion and lightly topped with a healthy salad dressing like a raspberry vinaigrette.
  • Another citrus tip: always peel an orange before you take it for a snack to go otherwise it may come home with you uneaten. Transport it in a little plastic bag for easy nibbling.
