Fibre Boost

    • Most adults don’t eat enough fibre. Adult men need even more than women – 38 grams compared to 25 grams/day.
    • Fibre can be found in pretty much all fruits and vegetables and definitely in all whole grains. How do we make it appetizing?
    • Try these 3 great meals:

      • Breakfast – berry, yogurt, granola parfait with added nuts
      • Lunch – salad with a variety of vegetables. Corn and grated carrots are great sources of fibre.
      • Dinner – chili, a soup or stew with beans and vegetables makes a high fibre meal
    • Be sure to drink lots of water too when boosting your fibre intake as it helps digestion
