Fruit Crisp – a Light Dessert Idea
- Dessert doesn’t necessarily have to be an add on that doesn’t provide any meaningful nutrients
- Fruit crisps are a great way to enjoy a serving of fruit and grains while getting vitamins and fibre.
- They’re very easy to make:
- take any fruit – fresh, frozen, canned or a mix
- sprinkle with a mix of oatmeal, brown sugar, cinnamon and a little butter
- bake at 350°F for about 30-40 minutes
- good flavour combinations:
- apple, strawberry, rhubarb
- peach and berryr
- apple, pear and cranberry
