Fruit Crisp – a Light Dessert Idea

  • Dessert doesn’t necessarily have to be an add on that doesn’t provide any meaningful nutrients
  • Fruit crisps are a great way to enjoy a serving of fruit and grains while getting vitamins and fibre.
  • They’re very easy to make:
    • take any fruit – fresh, frozen, canned or a mix
    • sprinkle with a mix of oatmeal, brown sugar, cinnamon and a little butter
    • bake at 350°F for about 30-40 minutes
  • good flavour combinations:
    • apple, strawberry, rhubarb
    • peach and berryr
    • apple, pear and cranberry
