Here’s a bit of background on
our recipes:
- All recipes have been created exclusively
for our customers and all recipes have been tested.
- Many recipes support our own Western Family
products.
- All recipes are selected and approved by
our dietitians.
- Our recipes, like all of the healthy eating
education provided in Save-On-Foods, follow an 80-20 approach.
This concept suggests that if you eat well at least
80% of the time, you always leave room for pleasurable indulgences.
From time to time you will notice some of our recipes are a
little more like treats. Most of the time (at least 80%) you
will notice that our recipes focus on fresh, vibrant seasonal
ingredients to support good health and the fresh focus in our
stores!
- We make every attempt to offer a variety
of recipes from appetizers to main courses, meat-based to vegetarian.
We understand that many of our customers have special dietary
needs. You may be trying to follow a lower carbohydrate or
diabetic diet, working on weight loss, avoiding gluten in foods
or managing other concerns. We are aware of these challenges – another
reason for the variety of recipes and a strong emphasis on
lower fat, produce-based ingredients. For more assistance
with special diet needs, visit our special
diets section.

you have any questions or comments on our recipes, please don’t hesitate to contact

our nutritionists.
Have fun in the kitchen and bon appetit!
