mL Western Family soft margarine ¾ cup
250 mL packed brown sugar 1 cup
1 egg
60 mL Western Family frozen orange ¼ cup juice concentrate, slightly
thawed
60 mL Western Family dried skim milk powder ¼ cup
250 mL Western Family all purpose flour 1
cup
60 mL wheat germ ¼ cup
5 mL Western Family baking powder 1 tsp
4 mL salt ¾ tsp
2 mL cinnamon ¼ tsp
375 mL Western Family oatmeal 1½ cups
125 mL raisins ½ cup
125 mL coarsely chopped walnuts ½ cup

Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C).

In large bowl, cream together margarine, brown sugar and egg until
light and fluffy; stir in orange
juice concentrate.

In a medium bowl, combine the next 6 dry ingredients and stir to mix.
Add to creamed mixture and stir until well mixed.

Add oats, raisins and nuts; mix well.
5.
Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased or sprayed cookie
sheets, leaving plenty of room
for spreading during cooking;
flatten
to 3½ (8.75 cm) rounds with bottom of a glass dipped
in sugar.
6.
Bake 12-15 minutes; remove from oven. Let stand 2-3 minutes;
lift off sheet and cool on wire rack.
Makes
about 2 dozen 4” (10 cm) cookies.
