Classic Veggie Pepperoni Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) fine cornmeal
  • 1 ball (1 lb) prepared pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) red pepper, diced
  • 1 package Yves Veggie Cuisine Veggie Pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup ( 50 mL) thinly sliced fresh basil

Directions

Preheat oven to 450° F and place rack on lowest position in oven. Grease 14-inch round pizza pan and sprinkle with cornmeal (if using).
On lightly floured surface, roll out pizza dough and fit into pan. Spread sauce over dough, leaving 1/2-inch border all around. Sprinkle with cheese and red pepper.
Arrange Veggie Pepperoni over top.
Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until crust is golden brown, mozzarella is melted and Veggie Pepperoni is crisp around edges. Let stand for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with basil before serving.
