Greek Yogurt Bite Size Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp (2 mL) sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp (2 mL) baking powder
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup (175 mL) sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Western Family semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Danone Oikos plain Greek yogurt

Directions

1) Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
2)Prepare an 8 x 8 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.
3)In a medium bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, cocoa powder, sugar, brown sugar and chocolate chips.
4)Add Greek yogurt and egg and stir until combined. It will look dry at first, but will all get incorporated.
5)Spoon batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
6)Bake for 18-22 minutes, rotating pan 10 minutes into baking.
7)The brownies are done when a toothpick inserted comes out with just a few crumbs. Let cool completely before cutting into small squares. To cut the brownies, dip a knife in hot water before cutting to help them stay together.

Tip: Add some nuttiness but incorporating ½ cup of toasted walnuts or pecans.
