Grilled Brie with Apples Honey and Walnuts

Ingredients
2 Honeycrisp apples or any red apples, cored and chopped
1/4 cup (60 mL) Western Family orange juice
1/4 cup (60 mL) brown sugar
1/4 cup (60 mL) Western Family liquid honey
1/4 cup (60 mL) Walnuts, crushed
1 tsp (5 mL) olive oil
1 wheel Brie cheese
Western Family Entertaining Crackers for serving
Directions
- Preheat grill to 450°F.
- In a small sauce pot, heat the apples, orange juice, brown sugar and honey on medium-high heat.
- Simmer until the apples are tender and the juices are thickened to a thin syrup, about 10-15 minutes.
- Add crushed walnuts into mixture. Set aside when combined.
- Spread olive oil over the rind of the brie.
- Place the brie on the grill over to the side, not directly above the heat/fire.) Close the lid, grill for about 2 minutes.
- Flip the brie to grill the other side, close lid and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove the brie from the grill.
- Place brie on serving plate and top with apple and walnut mixture and crackers.
