Maple Walnut Apple Crisp

Ingredients
8 cups (2 L) Apples, peeled, sliced
1/2 cup (125 ml) Maple syrup
1/2 cup (125 ml) All-purpose flour
2 tsp (10 ml) Ground cinnamon
1 1/4 cups (295 ml) Oats
1 cup (250 ml) Walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup (125 ml) Butter, cut into small pieces
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine filling ingredients (apples, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/4 cup flour, 1 tsp cinnamon) and place in greased 8” square pan (2 L).
- Combine crumble ingredients (oats, 1/4 cup flour, 1 tsp cinnamon, walnuts, 1/4 cup maple syrup, butter) and sprinkle over apple mixture.
- Bake in preheated oven for 55-60 minutes or until topping is golden and apples are bubbling. Serve warm.
