This German classic pairs ketchup with honey and a touch of curry for a twist on a backyard favourite

4 smoked bratwurst or other smoked sausages
1 red onion, cut into ½-inch-thick slices
4 hot dog buns, split
¼ cup Heinz Yellow Mustard
¼ cup Heinz Sweet Relish
1/4 cup Heinz Tomato Ketchup
2 tsp honey
1 tsp curry powder
¼ tsp Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
Directions
- Heat barbecue to medium heat.
- Grill sausages and onion slices 15 min. or until heated through and onions are tender, turning occasionally and adding buns, cut sides down, to barbecue to toast for the last min. of cooking.
- Remove sausages, onions and buns from barbecue.
- Spread buns with mustard and relish. Fill with sausages. Mix ketchup, honey, curry powder and Worcestershire sauce. Drizzle over sausages.
Tip: Add sauerkraut for an even more German experience!
