Black Forest Ham Salad Sandwich

2 packages (400 g) Natural Selections Black Forest Ham
1/4 cup (60 mL) Western Family Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup (60 mL) Western Family Real Mayonnaise
2 tbsp (30 mL) Western Family Stone Ground Mustard
1/3 cup (80 mL) Western Family Baby Dill Pickles, chopped
1 rib Celery, finely chopped
2 Green onions, finely chopped
4 leaves Butter lettuce, washed and dried
8 slices Round sour dough loaf
Directions
- Whisk the mayonnaise, cream cheese and mustard together in a large bowl.
- Pulse the ham and pickles in a food processor until finely chopped but not pureed.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the ham mixture, celery, green onions and mayonnaise mixture. Season to taste with salt and pepper. If the salad seems dry (it should be spreadable), add more mayonnaise.
- Spread on one side of the bread, top with a leaf of butter lettuce and the other piece of bread and serve.
TIP: You can substitute Smoked Turkey Breast for the ham in this recipe.
