Cook Time15 Minutes
Ingredients
1 pack (454g) lean ground beef
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
½ tsp. garlic powder
4 -5 Western Family hamburger buns
4 -5 Western Family cheddar cheese slices
Western Family guacamole
Blue corn tortilla chips
Green salad (i.e. spinach, lettuce, kale, etc.)
Directions
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together burger meat, salt, black pepper and garlic powder. Separate meat into 4 or 5 even patties.
  2. In a non-stick fry pan, cook burgers over medium-high heat for about 15 minutes or until burgers are cooked through, flipping halfway (NOTE: time will vary depending on meat thickness and preferred level of doneness).
  3. When done, turn off the heat and place a slice of cheese (that has been cut to resemble the face of a pumpkin (i.e. triangles for eyes, jagged lines for a mouth, etc.) overtop each burger. Cover with a lid to allow cheese to melt.
  4. Pair burgers with a dark green salad + guacamole and blue corn tortilla chips for a fun side.
  • Pro Tip: to make the guacamole festive, fill a sauce bottle (or Ziploc bag) with plain Greek yogurt. If using a Ziploc bag, snip the tip to allow yogurt to squeeze out. Create a spider web image by drawing a large circle and two smaller ones inside. Using a toothpick, drag from the center circle to the largest circle to create about 5 evenly spaced lines.
  • Optional: additional burger toppings include: WF ketchup and WF mustard
