Steps to Build

  1. Select your Cheeses

    • Serve three to five different types of cheeses so it’s not overwhelming
    • Select cheeses that have different flavours and textures
    • You don't want your cheese to dry out, so be sure to assemble the day of serving
  2. Choose accompaniments

  3. Put it together

    • Choose a big board with plenty of room for all of your ingredients
    • Cheese is best served at room temperature, remove from the refrigerator an hour before arranging
    • Create height and visual interest throughout your board. Items such as jams, biscotti and certain cheeses will fit nicely in teacups, bowls or mini mason jars.
    • Serving a wedge of cheese that has rind on three sides? Consider cutting the rind off two sides so guests can easily cut a piece of cheese to eat.
    • If you’re serving a small wheel of cheese (like Camembert or Mt. Tam) cut out a small wedge so guests know how the cheese should be cut
  4. Enjoy!
