The Perfect Summer Board

A great summer board isn't complicated, it's all about balance. Ripe seasonal fruit, rich aged cheeses, and just the right mix of salty snacks to keep everyone reaching back for more. Build it beautifully, share it freely, and savour every sun-soaked bite.

Building a Charcuterie Board

3 Simple Steps

  1. Select your Cheeses
    • Serve three to five different types of cheeses so it’s not overwhelming
    • Select cheeses that have different flavours and textures
    • You don't want your cheese to dry out, so be sure to assemble the day of serving
  2. Choose accompaniments
  3. Put it together
    • Choose a big board with plenty of room for all of your ingredients
    • Cheese is best served at room temperature, remove from the refrigerator an hour before arranging
    • Create height and visual interest throughout your board. Items such as jams, biscotti and certain cheeses will fit nicely in teacups, bowls or mini mason jars.
    • Serving a wedge of cheese that has rind on three sides? Consider cutting the rind off two sides so guests can easily cut a piece of cheese to eat.
    • If you’re serving a small wheel of cheese (like Camembert or Mt. Tam) cut out a small wedge so guests know how the cheese should be cut.
    • Enjoy!
