What is Save-On-Foods doing to support Canadian producers?
- Save-On-Foods is proud to be 100% Canadian owned and operated, based in Western Canada for 110 years.
- We seek ways to support local suppliers first whenever and wherever we can, including carrying more than 2,500 locally made products from more than 2,000 local growers and producers.
- Given how geographically diverse our stores are, we also encourage our stores to list locally-made products from vendors right in their communities – wherever possible.
- For more than 50 years, Western Family has been our private label brand and it plays a critical role in growing our selection of locally made products. Currently, we have over 2,500 products, with approximately 800 being made in Canada using both domestic and imported ingredients, and 200 that are Products of Canada.
