Ingredients
1 ½ cups (375 mL) Granulated Sugar
2/3 cup (150 mL) Western Family 2% Evaporated Milk
2 tbsp (30 mL) Western Family Unsalted Butter
1/4 tsp (1 mL) Salt
1 ½ cup (375 mL) Western Family Pure Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 tsp (5 mL) Western Family Vanilla Extract
Directions
  1. Line 8-inch-square baking pan with foil.
  2. Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in medium, heavy-duty saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla extract. Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until melted. Pour into prepared baking pan; refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan; remove foil. Cut into pieces.
