VH Garlic-Marinated Steak

Ingredients
1 lb (500 g) top sirloin steak, about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt, divided 1 tsp (5 mL) black pepper, divided
1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt, divided
1 tsp (5 mL) black pepper, divided
1 bottle (341 mL) VH® Medium Garlic Sauce, divided
1/2 red bell pepper, largely chopped
1/2 yellow bell pepper, largely chopped
1 red onion, sliced into 1-inch (2.5 cm) rings
2 zucchini, cut into 1/2-inch (1 cm) halfmoon slices

Directions

Step One

In large bowl, season steak with 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt and pepper. Toss with 1/2 cup (125 mL) VH® Medium Garlic Sauce. Let marinate, in refrigerator, for 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.

Step Two

Spray grill with PAM® Grilling Spray, and then preheat grill to medium-high heat.

 Step Three

In medium bowl, season red pepper, onion, and zucchini with remaining 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt. Toss with 1/2 cup (125 mL) VH® Medium Garlic Sauce.

Step Four

Grill steak, flipping once, for 6 minutes. Brush with reserved VH® Medium Garlic Sauce; grill, flipping once, for 2 to 4 minutes or until instant-read thermometer registers 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare. Alternatively, cook to preferred doneness. Let steak rest for 5 minutes.

 Step Five

Meanwhile, grill veggies, turning, for 4 to 6 minutes or until well-marked and tender.  

Step Six

Slice steak and serve with grilled veggies.

 

Tip: Substitute top sirloin steak with flank steak if preferred
