Cherry and Vanilla Yogurt Popsicles

Ingredients

Cherry Layer:

  • 2 cups (230g) pitted fresh cherries
  • 1/3 cup (67g) granulated sugar

Vanilla Yogurt Layer:

  • 1 container (650g) Western Family Stirred Probiotic Yogurt Vanilla
  • 2 pieces fruit leather, stamped out using small maple leaf cutter

 

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine cherries and granulated sugar. Blend until smooth.
  2. Fill 1/4 of each popsicle mold with cherry puree and place in freezer to set for about 2 hours.
  3. Once cherry layer has set, place a piece of fruit leather on the side of each popsicle mold. Fill each cavity with vanilla yogurt, leaving room for the final cherry layer.
  4. Place popsicle stick into each mold and transfer to freezer, allowing yogurt layer to set, about 2 hours.
  5. Fill final cherry layer and return to freezer to freeze overnight.
  6. To unmold, run the bottoms of the popsicle molds under hot water for about 5 – 10 seconds, then pull out the popsicles.
