Halloween Candy Chocolate Bark

Ingredients

  • 4 100 g Western Family Swiss Milk Chocolate Bars, broken into pieces
  • 2 cups (500 mL) assorted Halloween candies (candy corn, M&M’s, Smarties, Mini Reese’s Peanut butter cups, Gummy bears, candy eyeballs)

Directions

  1. Line a small 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Fit a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, making sure the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the bowl. Place the chocolate in the bowl and stir until fully melted, about 5 minutes.
  3. Pour melted chocolate mixture onto the parchment-lined baking pan. Use a spatula to smooth the chocolate into one even layer about 1/4 inch thick.  Arrange your eyeballs and candy in the chocolate.
  4. Chill for 20 to 30 minutes or until firm. Break or cut into pieces and store in an airtight container, separating the layers with wax paper.

Hint:  You can use any type of Halloween candies in this recipe, but the more colourful the better.
