Pork, Pea and Walnut Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • 3 Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2 hoisin sauce
  • 2 water
  • 2 Western Family lower sodium soy sauce
  • 1 cornstarch
  • 1 sesame oil
  • 2 Western Family canola oil
  • 1 pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, cut into thin slices
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 fresh ginger root, freshly grated
  • 1 1/2 sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • 1 green apple, unpeeled, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 walnut halves, toasted

Directions

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat a wok or large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add canola oil, pork, onion, garlic and ginger and stir-fry for about 3 minutes or until pork starts to brown.
  3. Add peas, apple slices and chili sauce mixture. Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until peas are tender-crisp and pork is tender. Add walnuts and stir-fry for about 1 minute or until hot.
