Ingredients:
Simple Syrup (makes 1 cup)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water (equal parts water and sugar ensures a well-balanced syrup)
- 1-2 jalapeños, sliced (adjust based on how spicy you like it)
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
Spicy Pina Colada Mocktail (makes 2 cocktails)
- 1 1/2 cups of pineapple juice
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 1/2 oz of Jalapeño Mint Simple Syrup
- Western Family Pineapple Coconut Sparking water
- Lime wedge and fresh mint for garnish
Spicy Grapefruit Spritzer (makes 1 mocktail)
- Juice from 1 Grapefruit, about 3 oz
- Splash of lime juice
- 1 oz of Jalapeño Mint Simple Syrup
- Western Family Pineapple Coconut Sparkling water
- Fresh Mint for Garnish
Directions:
How to make the Simple Syrup:
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and water.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Add the sliced jalapeños and fresh mint leaves.
- Allow the mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the heat.
- Once cooled to room temperature, strain the mixture to remove the jalapeño slices and mint leaves, and store your spicy simple syrup in an airtight container or a mason jar in the refrigerator.
How to Make the Spicy Pina Colada Mocktail:
- Add the pineapple juice, lime juice and simple syrup to a cocktail glass, stir to combine.

- Garnish with a lime wedge and fresh mint.
