Ingredients
3lbs Western Canadian Ground Beef
3 tbsp olive oil
2 small onions, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tsp McCormick chili powder
3 tsp McCormick smoked paprika
3 tsp McCormick cumin
2 tsp salt
2 tsp black pepper
1 ½ cups Tostitos salsa (your favourite heat level)
3 cups Western Family shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups shredded Monterey jack cheese
12 Casa Mendosa Burrito flour tortillas
1 ½ cups DairyLand sour cream
1 cup chopped lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
¼ to ½ cup chopped cilantro (optional)
4 to 6 medium russet potatoes
4 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp McCormick garlic powder
2 tsp McCormick paprika
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Wash, peel and cut the potatoes into evenly sized fries.
  3. Soak the fires in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  4. Pat fries dry and toss them with the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
  5. Arrange in a single layer on baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. While the fries are baking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onions and cook until softened.
  7. Stir in garlic and cook for another minute. - Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon and cook until browned.
  8. Drain any excess grease from the skillet. - Season beef with chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  9. Stir in the salsa and simmer for 5 minutes until the flavours meld together. - Warm the tortillas in a microwave or skillet to make them pliable. 
  10. Spread a thin layer of sour cream in the center of each tortilla.
  11. Add a generous scoop of the beef mixture, shredded cheddar and Monterey jack cheeses.
  12. Top with lettuce, tomatoes and cilantro.
  13. Fold the tortilla’s sides inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to seal the burrito.
  14. Place in a hot skillet to crispy up the outside of the burrito on each side.
  15. Serve alongside a serving of fries and serve with your favourite toppings.
