Ingredients
5 oranges, juiced (about 1¾–2 cups / 420–480 ml juice)
1 lemon, juiced (about ¼ cup / 60 ml)
¼ cup (60 ml) ginger juice or ⅓–½ cup chopped fresh ginger
1 tsp ground turmeric or 1 tbsp fresh turmeric, chopped
⅛ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp maple syrup or agave (optional)
Pinch of cayenne (optional)

Ingredients 

  • 5 oranges, juiced (about 1¾–2 cups / 420–480 ml juice) 
  • 1 lemon, juiced (about ¼ cup / 60 ml) 
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) ginger juice or ⅓–½ cup chopped fresh ginger 
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric or 1 tbsp fresh turmeric, chopped 
  • ⅛ tsp black pepper 
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or agave (optional) 
  • Pinch of cayenne (optional)

 

Instructions 

With a juicer 

  1. Juice oranges, lemon, ginger (and turmeric if using fresh). 
  2. Combine and stir in black pepper, sweetener, and cayenne to taste. 

With a blender 

  1. Add orange juice, lemon juice, chopped ginger + turmeric to the blender. 
  2. Blend on high 60–90 seconds. 
  3. Strain through a fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag. 
  4. Stir in pepper, sweetener, cayenne. 

Storage 

  • Pour into jars, refrigerate up to 3–5 days 
  • Shake before drinking 

 

Tips and Tricks

  • To increase the volume, add ½ cup coconut water (adds electrolytes + flavour)
